Lions coach draws line in sand at Gabba
Not much had to be said by coach Michael Voss to motivate the Brisbane Lions ahead of Saturday's AFL clash with Adelaide at the Gabba.
Still, Voss all but drew a line in the sand at their home venue on Friday as they looked to bounce back from an embarrassing 68point seasonopening mauling from wooden spoon fancies Western Bulldogs.
But the Lions mentor was keen for his side to make a statement at home against a Crows outfit also out for redemption following their shock 35point opening loss to Essendon.
"We have dealt with it (opening loss), now we move on.
"And it helps being here. We haven't played here for a while and we want to make sure we play well at our home venue, nike free run."
For a bloke who didn't want to dwell on their first round shocker, Voss still could not help bringing it up when he fronted the media on Friday.
Asked about young gun Daniel Rich who was held to just eight disposals by Bulldogs tagger Nick Lower, Voss quickly turned the spotlight back onto the team's underwhelming performance.
