The next event to raise funds for Orono High School Class of 2010 Project Graduation is "Dancing Like the Stars," reports OHS Project Graduation chair Gerri JohnsonHarvey. Friday, March 19, and Friday, March 26, both at Orono High School, 14 Goodridge Road.
Seven couples have received lessons provided by Back Door Dance Studio of Eddington for this competition that features dance routines such as waltzes and salsas.
The couple receiving the most votes at the end of the second night of competition wins the event.
Proceeds help provide a safe and fun postgraduation celebration for members of OHS Class of 2010. Wednesday, March 17, at the church, 35 Church St. in that community.
"The menu will be turkey, Pierce wrote of the meal that is $8 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under.
"Jerry Hughes will entertain while you enjoy the festivities," Pierce added.
Proceeds will benefit the work of the church, ranging from assisting people in need to helping children attend summer camp. Tuesday, March 23, at Eastport Hall at University College Bangor on Texas Avenue in Bangor.
The snow date is Thursday, March 25.

The presenters will be Lisa Michaud of the FrancoAmerican Centre of the University of Maine in Orono, and Amy Morin, formerly with the CanadianAmerican Centre at the University of Maine.
The women "will relate history, stories and lore of the FrancoAmerican people of Maine and New England," Cutler wrote.
