Wow, what a day we had Saturday. We had a great turn out from the young Republicans and youth groups for our door to door blitz. It was a great time to fellowship and it was also a great civics lesson for our young adults. We met early Saturday morning at the GOP headquarters in Amory. After we prayed for wisdom and guidance we struck out to visit the voters of District 20. We received a very warm welcome and the group had a great time. Thank you to all of the countless offers to visit and the ever so welcomed glass of ice tea or cold water as we campaigned in your neighborhood. After a busy day of door to door campaigning we retired for a pizza party. Thank you to all the youth and adults alike for your support and dedication to this campaign.
After the pizza party with the youth Ryksie and I went to a gospel singing with a group from the Hatley PB Church. It always good to get together and sing hymn's. We had great time of fellowship and it was a fantastic end to a already great day. Oh, and the Caramel Cake was the best and the literally the icing on the cake.

This is such an encouragement to me and I had to share it with all of you. Friday I received numerous phone calls informing me that there were phone calls being made attacking me and my family. They were fabrications and outright lies and as Ryksie and I talked about what was said and why they would stoop to such tactics my third son Elijah listened intently,[url=http://www.holisteroutlet.cc]http://www.holisteroutlet.cc[/url]. He later asked why they would say such things that were not true and we explained the best we could about the political process and how some people think they need to tear down others so they can attempt to build themselves up. That did not make sense to his 5 year old logic.
The next morning I was getting ready to hit the campaign trail and Elijah came up to me and said "I am sorry those people are telling stories about us." I told him it was not his fault. He looked at me and then he said "If GOD is with us who can be against us?" That brought me to my senses and he must have noticed my expression and then he said "Daddy if you do not win this race we will praise HIM, and Daddy if you do win this race we will praise HIM." That brought tears to my eyes and I hugged Elijah. I just received support and encouragement from my 5 year old little boy. My day went better and I thank GOD for using Elijah today. I pray that we will praise HIM no matter what happens in our lives.
There has been quite a bit of polling going on in Monroe County this year and our race is one that is being tracked. We received the results last week and they are very encouraging. We have a great opportunity to make a positive impact for years to come with this election. As a literal David and Goliath scenario we are collecting our five smooth stones and pray that the Lord will guide them these last four weeks leading unto the election. As the conservative candidate for House District 20 our message is connecting with the voters and only time will tell if they are ready for new leadership. As a businessman and father of five children I have a tremendous vested interest in Mississippi and our communities. I want to work to have the best schools we can by working with the local school boards, principals, and teachers to see how we can accomplish this goal. As a father I am also very interested in bringing more and better paying jobs for our district. Good jobs give our people an opportunity to succeed and provide a better life for our children and grandchildren. I am running for this office because I love Mississippi and I want to work to make our Mississippi and District 20 even better.
